How much does it cost to make beer/soda?
Brewing soda costs $140 to brew either Rootbeer, Ginger Ale, or Orange Soda. The prices for beer, however, vary depending upon the type and quantity of ingredients used. The list of beers and accompanying price ranges can be found on our recipes page.

How much beer/soda will I get?
Our recipes make between 4 and 5 cases of 12 oz bottles (between 96 and 120 bottles). The exact number depends on many factors, including how vigorously the beer is boiled and yeast activity during fermentation.
Soda generally produces closer to 6 cases since there is no fermentation, and, therefore, less opportunity for volume loss.

What are my choices for packaging?
You may choose to put your beer in bottles or kegs. There are several options with each of these.

Bottles
For bottles, you have the choice of all-12oz, all-22oz, or a combination of 12oz and 22oz cases. If you choose bottles, you MUST buy new bottles for your first brew. After the initial purchase of bottles, they can be reused several times with proper cleaning and storage after consumption.

Used, commercial bottles are not permitted for bottling. They have a higher rate of breaking in our bottling equipment, wasting your beer and your time.

Bottles, once purchased, can only be reused for personal use, and, as such, cannot be returned to the brewery. If you do not wish to reuse your bottles, please recycle them. Thats what we do!

    Costs associated with bottling:
  • Bottles: $50 for 5 cases, $60 for 6 cases
  • Caps: $2.50 for 5 cases, $3.00 for 6 cases

Kegging
For kegging, you have the choice of filling most of a 1/2 barrel keg, filling two 1/4 barrel kegs (one filled completely, the other half-full), or filling one 1/4 barrel keg and bottling the rest. If you have a keg you would like us to use, you can drop it off and we will fill it for you. If you dont have a keg, we have plenty around and can rent one to you.

Taps are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a small supply of taps and cannot guarantee that we will have any in stock when you need it. We can recommend several places closeby where you can get a tap if you need one.

Costs Associated with Kegging:
    If renting from us:
  • Keg Rental: $15
  • Keg Cleaning: $10
  • Keg Deposit: $75*
    *Refunded on return
    If using own keg:
  • Keg Cleaning: $10
