That’s right, the door to the brewery opened for the first customer on Memorial Day Weekend in 1996! Come join us to celebrate our 12th anniversary! Here are a few things to look forward to:

• We will be serving Mountain Beast Ale out of an oak barrel - just like the good old days! This is a rare opportunity to get a draft of cask-conditioned ale out of a 55 gallon oak barrel. The barrel will be tapped at 6pm on Thursday.
• Anning will set up a display of various historical pictures, mostly of the construction of the brewery.
• On Saturday we will be grilling up some hot dogs, hamburgers and brats to serve from 11 am to 2 pm.
• If you brew this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday (the 22nd, 23rd or 24th of May), you get 12% off to celebrate 12 years of brewing! Call us on 703-823-9508 to make an appointment!

More importantly this weekend, let’s remember that it is the Memorial Day Weekend. When we raise our pints this weekend, let’s remember those who served as well as those who serve. The brave men and women who serve and have served our country deserve our support and respect. This weekend, bring in your military ID and you will receive a 12% discount on your bartab as well as brewing your own beer. This offer is for veterans as well as active duty personnel.

Pub and brewery hours: Thurs, Fri 4pm to 11pm; Sat 10am to 8pm

On Tap this weekend:

• Mountain Beast served out of an oak barrel! We will tap the barrel at 6pm on Thursday!
• Out of the firkin, on the handpull: We will finish our firkin of Stout then start a firkin of centennial ale. So come in Thursday and help finish the stout so we can tap the Centennial!
• On draft throughout the week: Stony Man Stout, Old Rag Mountain Ale, Apricot Beast, Pilsner, Centennial Ale, Some-kind-of-Bock and Chocolate Donut Stout.
• Beers available to go this week Hefeweizen, Apricot pils, Mountain Beast, Millenium Ale, Chocolate Donut Stout, Skyland Red Ale, Old Rag Mountain Ale, and Stony Man Stout.

Shenandoah Brewing Company is a microbrewery. Award-winning beers are made in Alexandria! Our beers are available directly from the brewery and in select stores and restaurants in Virginia and DC. We also make a handcrafted root beer in limited amounts and our root beer and flagship beers have been accepted in the Virginia's Finest Products Program. On a historical note, SBC is the first brewery to bottle beer in Alexandria since prohibition.

Shenandoah Brewing Company is a brew-on-premise. At SBC, you brew it, no problems, and we clean up the mess! With our state-of-the-art equipment, brewing your own beer is a fun, simple process, and we guarantee your beer. You can make your own sodas as well. We provide you with everything you need: quality ingredients, individual instruction, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You can make either ale or lager style beers and you work with professional brewers, the same folks who make our beer. You must be 21 or older to make your own beer. Another historical note, SBC was the first brew-on-premise, or BOP, in Virginia.

Shenandoah Brewing Company is a brewpub. You can come in and have a fresh beer and a bowl of chili. We also sell growlers to go from the pub. Have a beer, brew some beer, and take some beer home!

Shenandoah Brewing Company provides custom labels for beer and root beer. Have you always wanted to see your name on a beer? No Problem. We can help you create the perfect beer label for any occasion...birthday, wedding, anniversary...or just for fun! While you are brewing your beer or soda, you can design your own label and it will be ready when you return to bottle. If you want custom-labeled beer but don't want to make it yourself, no problem! You can buy our beer and custom label it.

Shenandoah Brewing Company has gift certificates! Need a gift for your beer-lover? No problem. We can help you make your Christmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day (yes, we know some Moms who make their own beer!), birthday, anniversary, and even Valentine's Day gift search much easier. Just come in to the brewery and get a gift certificate to start them brewing. It is a unique gift that they will remember for a long time. Custom-labeled beer and soda also makes a unique gift.
