At SBC, you can custom label the beer that you make or have us custom label one of our beers for you.  You may choose from one of SBC's label templates and insert your own text and in some cases a photo. You may also provide us with a label on disk that meets the criteria below OR provide us with an image to scan. SBC labels are full-color, water-resistant, and self-stick. The required government warning and brewery identification is automatically inserted on all labels.

To ensure that we have enough time to print your labels between brewing and bottling, there is a $25 discount on all 5/6 case orders submitted on the day of brewing. In the event that you do not have something already planned, we ask that your label order be submitted at least 3 weeks before your bottling date. This will provide enough time for an optional, scheduled review two weeks prior to bottling and any modifications to be made before your bottling date. Any labels submitted less than two weeks before the bottling date will incur a $25 rush fee.

SBC Templates
$20 - $25/case, $65 - $75/ 5 cases

Simply browse the templates in the SBC Template Book, choose the label you like, and complete the form on the back. Please note that you can only change the text on the label. You CANNOT change the colors, graphics, or the placement of the text. If your label  of choice allows for a photo, please provide the photo with this form when ordering your label. Photos that are bright and without a lot of shadows work best. The cost of each label is indicated in the Template Book.

Scanned Labels
$25/case, $75/ 5 cases

You may also provide us with an image to scan, either a photo or artwork. We can do simple insertion of text. Complicated labels will be charged at a rate of $50/hour for artwork. If you wish to approve a draft of your label, add $15 to the cost. The review cost and labor charges will apply if you choose to have us print the label or not.

Advice for providing images:

• Images printed on a computer printer will look extremely grainy when scanned.
• Small print will not be readable when scanned.
• Dark or backlit photos will not print well.

Labels from Your Disk
$25/case, $75/ 5 cases

WARNING: DO NOT choose this route if you are uncertain of any of the specs below or are not computer savvy. Labels are printed on an industrial label printer. It is impossible for us to tell you if your image will print well on this printer in advance. We cannot assist you with your computer. If there is a problem with your disk or image, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $50 PER HOUR to resolve any issues (this labor charge includes any phone calls to you to attempt to resolve issues if the problem is with your disk or file). Labels printed from your disk ar not guaranteed for color match or image quality. If you wish to approve a draft of your label, add $15 to the cost. The review cost and labor charges will apply if you choose to have us print the label or not.

To have us print your label from a disk, fill out the form at the brewery and provide us with a disk that meet the following criteria:

• File types: JPEG or GIF only (save it as high a quality as you can - please do not use PowerPoint.)
• Disk types: 16x CD ROM, 5.25 inch 88MB Syquest cartridge for MAC or IBM.
• Image Size: 3.5 inches tall by 4.25 inches wide with 1/4 inch bleed for edge to edge printing (this means make your background color or pattern 1/4 inch LARGER than the printing area.)
• Design Tips: The following does not print well:
  • small text/images,
  • fades from one color to another,
  • dark or backlit photos,
  • important text/images extremely close to the edge of the label.
